Scott Laverd

Scott Laverd joined the NPPFA Benefits team as a licensed, Registered Representative in 2023, where he services communities across Florida, Georgia and Alabama. Scott earned a Bachelor’s Degree with Distinction from the University of Illinois at Chicago before setting his sights on serving the community.  He began his public safety career in 1988 as an Illinois Firefighter, ultimately making the move to law enforcement, where he retired as a 23-year veteran police officer. Throughout his career, Scott served as his agency's Crime Prevention Officer, and as such was responsible for all crime prevention public education and community outreach for the police department. In addition, he served as the Afternoon/Midnight Patrol Shift Watch Commander, NIPAS Task Force Lieutenant, Tactical Rifle Instructor, State Certified Range Officer, Community Response Team Officer, Citizens Patrol Coordinator and Crime Free Multi-Housing Coordinator. Scott currently holds both Series 6 and Series 63 securities licenses.
